The Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Javier Arredondo, 24, of 3281 20thAvenue, Naples, FL, for three counts of possession of child pornography, a third degree felony.
The investigation began in October of this year after agents conducted an undercover operation identifying persons using the Internet to send and receive videos and images of child pornography. On November 13, FDLE special agents, with assistance from the Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at Arredondo’s home.
During the search, agents seized several computers and related media devices from Arredondo’s bedroom. FDLE agents conducted on scene forensic examinations of the devices and recovered videos of suspected child pornography, which included children younger than five years of age.
Arredondo was arrested Tuesday and transported to the Collier County Jail. Additional charges are pending. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 20th Judicial Circuit.
