Miami woman claims $500,000 top prize from the EXTRA PLAY Scratch-Off game; two years after claiming a $1 million prize

Posted on November 15, 2018

The Florida Lottery announces that Melodee Mysel, 63, of Miami, claimed a $500,000 top prize in the EXTRA PLAY Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee, two years after claiming a $1 million prize playing the $10,000,000 FORTUNE Scratch-Off game. She purchased her winning ticket from Lamri Citgo, located at 3698 Southwest 8th Street in Miami.

The $5 game, EXTRA PLAY, offers more than $58 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $500,000. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-3.99.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 69 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $871 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2017-18.
