Motorists heading to eastbound Maitland Boulevard (State Road 414) from westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) will use a new ramp come the morning of November 16.
Motorists will still exit westbound I-4 (Exit 90A) from the same location as they do now, however, the new permanent ramp will replace the existing ramp and transport motorists to the new elevated lanes of eastbound Maitland Boulevard.
The new movement also eliminates right-turn access from the end of this ramp to Sandspur Road. Motorists seeking to access Sandspur Road from westbound I-4 will merge onto eastbound Maitland Boulevard, then turn left at a signal to Hope Road and turn left again onto Wymore Road.
The ramp shift is necessary to demolish the old eastbound Maitland Boulevard bridge over I-4.
To view or download a handout detailing the ramp shift, please visit fdot.tips/exit90a or see attached handout. For more information on the final configuration of the I-4 and Maitland Boulevard interchange, visit fdot.tips/maitland.
Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
