The Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested John Henry Dolcater, 59, of 6226 11th Avenue South, Gulfport, FL, for two counts of criminal use of personal identification on a victim over 60 years of age and one count of organized scheme to defraud.
Between July 2015 and May 2016, Dolcater befriended the victims of this investigation, all over the age of 60, when he sold them home improvement projects on their houses. Upon completion of the work, Dolcater continued to maintain a friendship with the victims and obtained large sums of money from them, draining their life savings and forcing them to incur debt. Dolcater also began using the victims’ credit card numbers without permission.
Dolcater was arrested and transported to Pinellas County Jail. This case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General Pam Bondi’s Office of the Statewide Prosecutor.
