PSC Commissioner Andrew Fay Named FSU 2018 Notable Nole

Posted on November 20, 2018

Andrew Giles Fay, one of the youngest Commissioners ever to serve on the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC), was named a Florida State University 2018 Notable Nole on November 16. The award honors individuals for “their significant contributions to their professions, communities, or alma mater.”

“I appreciate the recognition and thank the FSU Alumni Association for this honor,” said Commissioner Fay.  “FSU provided the education, opportunities, and experience that led to my early success in law and public policy.  I’m grateful and hope to continue making a difference for Florida as a Florida Public Service Commissioner.”

Commissioner Fay, one of this year’s Notable Noles, received his B.S. in 2007 and his J.D. in 2010 from FSU. Prior to his PSC appointment, Commissioner Fay served as Special Counsel and Director of Legislative Affairs, Cabinet Affairs, and Public Policy for the Office of the Attorney General.

In 2016, Commissioner Fay was named Government Attorney of the Year by the Florida Government Bar Association for his work assisting victims of the attack on the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando.  He has also been repeatedly recognized by Florida Trend Magazine as a Legal Elite Government Lawyer.
