This holiday season, the Florida Lottery is encouraging players, retailers and the public to support responsible play.
“As the holidays approach, we urge players to enjoy our games in a responsible way,” said Florida Lottery Secretary Jim Poppell. “We are committed to protecting the integrity of the Lottery, and we will continue to do everything we can to encourage players to view our games as a form of entertainment with the added benefit of enhancing education.”
Earlier this year, the Florida Lottery received the top certification for responsible gaming from the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL), and the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). Elements of the program include employee and retailer training, public education and awareness, product oversight, research and advertising. Florida is currently one of only 15 lotteries to receive this distinction.
Responsible play is a year-round, statewide effort for the Florida Lottery. For more information and tips to protect yourself, please visit flalottery.com.
