The Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Angel Casares, 47, of 2726 SW 19th Terrace, Miami, for seven counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of in-state transmission of child pornography.
Agents with FDLE’s Miami Regional Operations Center Cyber Squad executed a search warrant on the residence after the investigation showed suspected downloading and sharing of child pornography at the location. A preliminary forensic review of Casares’s computer was conducted on-site, and seven child pornography videos were found. Casares admitted to downloading the child pornography files and admitted that he had between 10 and 30 additional such files on his computer. Several devices were impounded for further forensic review.
U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations assisted FDLE in the investigation.
Casares was arrested and transported to Turner Gilford Knight Correctional Center. Bond was set at $15,000. This case will be prosecuted by the State Attorney’s Office, 11th Judicial Circuit.
