Posted on December 14, 2018

Princeton Street under Interstate 4 (I-4) is closing from 5 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, to 5 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 17, to allow crews to remove portions of the old I-4 bridge over Princeton Street.

All eastbound and westbound I-4 ramps at this interchange will remain open. Other nearby roads that pass under I-4 — New Hampshire Street and Winter Park Street — will also be open during the Princeton Street closure.

For motorists on the east side of I-4, the detour route for this closure is to travel north on Orange Avenue to Orlando Avenue. Turn left onto Orlando Avenue and travel to Fairbanks Avenue. Turn left onto Fairbanks Avenue and continue to Edgewater Drive. Turn left onto Edgewater Drive and travel to Princeton Street. Motorists on the west side of I-4, would follow this same detour in the reverse order. View detour map at the handout link below or in attached file.

View or download a handout for more information about this continuous weekend closure.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may be necessary because of weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
