Ramp Closures Delayed at I-4 and S.R. 472 in Deltona

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) advises motorists that this week’s planned ramp closures at State Road (S.R.) 472 and Interstate 4 (I-4) in Volusia County are postponed, including the one that was to occur overnight Sunday, Dec. 16, into early morning today. The S.R. 472 interchange closures in Deltona could now occur either later in the week, or after the holidays; and, once a decision is made, motorists will be alerted.

The original plan calls for five overnight periods of ramp closures and detours. The closures are part of a FDOT project to mill and resurface I-4 from west of Saxon Boulevard to east of S.R. 472.

Electronic message boards and other signage will be used to direct motorists. Updates are available on the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Central Florida website, cflroads.com.

Media inquiries should be directed to the FDOT Communications Office at [email protected] or by phone at 386-943-5479.
