Ramp Closures Planned at I-4 and Saxon Boulevard in Deltona

Motorists are advised of nighttime ramp closures with detours at the Interstate 4 (I-4) and Saxon Boulevard interchange (Exit 111) over the next few weeks. A different ramp will be closed each night from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 8.

Please note that weather or other circumstances may affect the schedule.

The planned schedule of ramp closures and posted detours is as follows:

  • Tuesday, Jan. 8, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the eastbound I-4 off ramp to eastbound Saxon Boulevard heading toward Deltona will be closed. Traffic will be directed to continue east on I-4 and exit onto State Road (S.R.) 472 (Exit 114), turn left onto S.R. 472 and take westbound I-4 back to Saxon Boulevard.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 9, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the eastbound I-4 off ramp to westbound Saxon Boulevard heading toward Orange City will be closed. Traffic will be directed to continue east on I-4 and exit onto State Road (S.R.) 472 (Exit 114), turn left onto S.R. 472 and take westbound I-4 back to Saxon Boulevard.
  • Thursday, Jan. 10, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the ramp onto eastbound I-4 from Saxon Boulevard will be closed. Traffic will be directed to get onto westbound I-4 and exit onto Debary Avenue (Exit 108), where eastbound I-4 will be accessible.
  • Sunday, Jan. 13, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the westbound I-4 off ramp to eastbound Saxon Boulevard heading toward Deltona will be closed. Traffic will be directed to continue west on I-4 and exit onto Debary Avenue (Exit 108) and take the ramp to eastbound I-4 back to Saxon Boulevard.
  • Monday, Jan. 14, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the westbound I-4 off ramp to westbound Saxon Boulevard heading toward Orange City will be closed. Traffic will be directed to continue west on I-4 and exit onto Debary Avenue (Exit 108), turn left, and take the ramp to eastbound I-4 back to Saxon Boulevard.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 15, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the ramp onto westbound I-4 from westbound Saxon Boulevard will be closed. Traffic will be directed to get onto eastbound I-4 and exit at S.R. 472 (Exit 114), where westbound I-4 will be accessible.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 16, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the ramp onto westbound I-4 from eastbound Saxon Boulevard will be closed. Traffic will be directed to get onto eastbound I-4 and exit at S.R. 472 (Exit 114) where westbound I-4 will be accessible.
  • Thursday, Jan. 17, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the westbound I-4 frontage road will be closed, affecting the off ramps to Saxon Boulevard and the on ramp to westbound I-4. Westbound I-4 traffic heading to Saxon Boulevard will be directed to exit at S.R. 472 (Exit 114) and take S.R. 472 west to U.S. 17/92 south to Saxon Boulevard. Traffic from Saxon Boulevard heading to westbound I-4 will be directed to get onto eastbound I-4 and exit at S.R. 472 (Exit 114), turn left, and use the ramp for westbound I-4.

Electronic message boards and other signage will be used to direct motorists. Updates are available on the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Central Florida website, cflroads.com. The closures are part of a FDOT project to mill and resurface I-4 from west of Saxon Boulevard to east of S.R. 472.

The FDOT urges all drivers to slow down and stay alert through construction zones.
