Registration Now Open for Enterprise Florida-led Export Sales Mission to Vietnam

Posted on January 11, 2019

Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI) will lead a delegation of small and mid-sized Florida businesses on an export sales mission to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Vietnam from May 31 – June 8, 2019. Registration to attend is now open.

“Trade between the U.S. and Vietnam has increased tremendously, providing Florida exporters with the opportunity to grow their client base and expand their international reach in the Asian market,” said Manny Mencia, senior vice president of international trade and development. “I encourage Florida businesses interested in entering or expanding in the Vietnam market to join EFI on this export sales mission.”

The U.S. is now Vietnam’s largest export market and a major source of foreign direct investment, helping fuel Vietnam’s remarkable economic growth. The United States has benefited from stronger trade ties and seen an increase of U.S. exports to Vietnam by 330% over the last 10 years. Vietnam’s more than 93 million consumers have a positive view towards the United States and the country is poised for continuous growth over the next 20 years — a rising star among Asia’s bustling economies.

The industry sectors listed below provide some of the best opportunities for exports from the U.S. to Vietnam. If your industry is not mentioned below, contact EFI for a no-obligation assessment.

  • Environmental and Pollution Control Equipment & Services
  • Healthcare/Medical
  • Information & Communication Technologies

Last year, merchandise valued at $147.7 billion flowed through Florida’s ports, with Florida-origin exports reaching $55 billion. Florida exported more goods than 190 countries in 2017, making the state a world leader in international trade.

Florida companies can participate in pre-screened one-on-one “Gold Key” meetings with Vietnamese companies interested in their product line, coordinated by the U.S. Commercial Service (USCS). The price of the Gold Key Package Registration is $2,500. Gold Key participation will be limited to Florida manufacturers, distributors, and service companies that best meet the participation criteria. Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. This option is limited to 12 Florida companies.

Eligible small and mid-sized Florida manufacturers and professional service providers may qualify for a Gold Key Grant, which will offset 100 percent of the Gold Key Package fee for the first company representative. A separate application process will be required for this grant.

Gold Key Registration Deadline: April 5, 2019.
