GAS members are a part of a worldwide community of glass artists from over 40 countries and are dedicated to the awareness and appreciation of glass art. Now in its 48th year, the annual GAS conference has set its sights on sunny Florida’s emerging Glass Coast—St. Petersburg, promising its members the latest in industry trends, education and more. Select artists from the illustrious group have been chosen to showcase their work in one of three exhibitions being held at the Morean Arts Center and Chihuly Collection.
The Morean Arts Center is proud to be a part of the conference and looks forward to shining an even brighter light on St. Petersburg as a glass arts destination. “We’re both honored and thrilled to participate in this event. We cannot wait to experience all the excitement and creative buzz that will fill the streets of downtown St. Petersburg”, says Andy Schlauch, Executive Director of the Chihuly Collection and Morean Glass Studio.
