Lawmakers, advocates will unveil “Sunrise Agenda”, a series
of proposals to build a Florida that works for all Floridians
Tomorrow, progressive lawmakers and advocates will provide a “people’s response” to Gov. Ron DeSantis’ State of the State Address. The group will unveil their Sunrise Agenda, a series of proposals to build a Florida that works for all Floridians, not just the wealthy and well connected. Sister events will be held in Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, and Orlando.
“Republicans have had a stranglehold on state government for two decades, pushing an agenda that delivers tax breaks to big corporations and rolls back investments in our schools and protections for workers and the environment,” said Damien Filer, Communications Director for Progress Florida. “The Sunrise Agenda puts Floridians first.”
