Governor DeSantis in his State of the State address demonstrated once again his leadership and commitment to improving the affordability and quality of health care for all Floridians.
Agency for Health Care Administration Secretary Mary Mayhew said, “Governor DeSantis wants the needs of the patient to be the top priority in driving health care reforms. He is cutting through the complicated and confusing health care system to advance meaningful changes for all Floridians.”
“Through his efforts to cut costs and improve quality by getting real information into the hands of patients, and to boldly move to allow low cost prescription drugs to be imported from Canada, Governor DeSantis will lead Florida forward with common sense reforms that ensure Floridians have access to high quality, affordable health care. I stand ready to serve the Governor and the people of Florida to accomplish his vision.”
The Agency is working quickly to implement Governor DeSantis’ health care agenda, and current actions include:

- Developing and launching public awareness campaigns to ensure the public is aware of available health care information.
