With the news that Governor Ron DeSantis today signed the official contract granting our state 45 days of 100 percent federal funding to recover from Hurricane Michael, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis issued the following statement:
“The commitment shown by both President Donald Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis to recovery efforts in the Florida Panhandle has been incredible. I applaud them both for stepping up and providing the necessary leadership to ensure these communities will be restored.
“Last year, Hurricane Michael ripped through Northwest Florida, devasting many cities and towns. This increase in funding will help make these areas whole again. The message sent by our leaders has been loud and clear: we are all in this together and we will rebuild better, stronger than before.”
