Governor Ron DeSantis Reappoints Ashley Coone to the Board of Trustees of Florida Gulf Coast University

Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the reappointment of Ashley Coone to the Board of Trustees of Florida Gulf Coast University.

Ashley Coone
Coone, of Arcadia, is the president of Ashley Coone Consulting. She works with a variety of clients providing consulting services for strategic planning, project management and social media presence. She is the co-founder of Links2Success, a nonprofit that provides free college and career readiness programs to middle and high school students in DeSoto County. Additionally, she spearheads the Smith Brown Project, a capital renovation project that led to the opening of the first Boys & Girls Club in DeSoto County. She previously served as the DeSoto County Clerk of the Circuit Court. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Florida Gulf Coast University and her master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University. Coone is appointed for the remaining two years of a term.

The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
