Eastbound I-4 Closing Overnight Starting Tonight From Midnight to 5 A.M. for Bridge Work
Eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) between Maitland Boulevard (State Road 414) and State Road (S.R.) 436 is closing several nights this week to safely place bridge girders for the S.R. 436 bridge over I-4.
The eastbound I-4 closures are scheduled from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. on May 7, 9, 10 and 11. The eastbound I-4 on-ramps from westbound and eastbound Maitland Boulevard and the eastbound I-4 exit ramp to S.R. 436 will be closed at the same times.
Motorists will be detoured from eastbound I-4 to westbound Maitland Boulevard and then will use S.R. 434 to re-enter the interstate. A handout with more information and graphics detailing the detour routes is available at fdot.tips/ebi4close.
Modifications or extensions to these schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
