“We at Stand Up North Florida believe protecting our region’s natural resources and promoting our economy are not mutually exclusive goals. That’s why we applaud Governor Ron DeSantis for signing SB 7068. The three toll roads this legislation calls for can be built without harm to the environment and will be instrumental in boosting rural economies in North Florida that struggle even in the best of times. We thank Governor DeSantis for his leadership on this issue, even while under pressure from environmental extremists who want to block any and all development in our state. We look forward to continuing to work with him on policies that do the right thing for both our people and our environment.”
