State Representative Bob Rommel today announced his endorsement of fellow Florida House member Ray Rodrigues for the Florida Senate.
Rodrigues, who has represented District 76 in the Florida House since being elected in 2012, is seeking the District 27 seat in the Florida Senate. The seat is currently held by Lizbeth Benacquisto, who faces term limits next year.
“Ray Rodrigues has always been willing to take on the tough fights,” said Rommel. “Because of his courage, Florida is leading the nation in education reform and health care reform. Ray is a principled conservative, and I’m proud to consider him a friend. He will make a great Senator, and he will have my full support.”
Rommel is serving his second term in the Florida House. Currently, he serves as Chair of the Civil Justice Subcommittee and Vice Chair of both the Judiciary Committee and the Local, Federal, and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee.
