Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis released details from Florida’s recent trade mission and ceremonial Cabinet meeting in Israel. CFO Patronis attended meetings and events intended to bolster collaboration with Israeli business leaders and officials.
CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “This trade mission deepened the strong bond between Florida and Israel. We engaged in meetings on vital subject areas including business, environment, school safety and technology. The relationships built, and insight shared during this past week have created enduring, dynamic partnerships with our steadfast ally in the Middle East.

Presentation of Florida’s Israel Resolution
CFO Patronis presented U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman with an official copy of Florida’s historic resolution proclaiming Jerusalem as the eternal and undivided capital of Israel.
Attended the 2019 Israel-America Business Summit
The Summit was hosted by the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce and the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem. During the Summit, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, Israel-America Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Meeting Holocaust Restitution Experts
Discussions surrounding ways to improve assistance provided to Florida Holocaust survivors seeking to recover proceeds from Florida’s Holocaust Victims Assistance Program.

Visited the World Holocaust Remembrance Center
CFO Patronis joined Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida delegation on a visit to Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, Israel’s official memorial to the victims of the Holocaust.
Visited the West Bank for Meeting with Israeli Officials
CFO Patronis joined Governor Ron DeSantis in crossing the “green line” into Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank. The CFO and Governor visited Hub Etzion Industrial Park for a roundtable discussion with Israeli officials on the BDS movement.
