In case you missed it, Representative Toby Overdorf received the 2019 Legislative Appreciation Award from the Florida League of Cities for his strong support of municipal home rule on several key issues during the 2019 legislative session. Scott Dudley, the League’s Legislative Director, said in a press release, “We believe the government closest to the people should make the decisions that affect the quality of life of the citizens they have been elected to represent. These hardworking legislators continually supported that ideal, and we owe them a great deal of thanks for that.”
“I appreciate this recognition from the Florida League of Cities,” said Overdorf. “I look forward to continuing to work with them to make sure government serves people efficiently and transparently at every level.”
