FDLE seeks public’s help in Starbucks burglaries investigation

Posted on June 13, 2019

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement are investigating a rash of burglaries at Starbucks locations throughout the state with the latest incident taking place in the Tampa area last week. Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is assisting FDLE with an appeal to the public for information.

Agents believe the suspects entered the front entrance of the Starbucks on Parkedge Drive after hours on Thursday, June 6th, and broke into the store’s safe. The front lock was manipulated to gain access to the store. During the burglary, the suspects dismantled part of the security camera system. The method they used was similar to burglaries at other Starbucks reported to law enforcement.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect(s) involved in these cases.  Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at crimestopperstb.com, or send a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application. Crime Stoppers must be contacted first in order to be eligible for a cash reward.
