Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Two to the Florida Commission on Ethics
Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointment of John Grant and the reappointment of William Meggs to the Florida Commission on Ethics.
William Meggs
Meggs, of Tallahassee, is a retired State Attorney for the State of Florida, 2nd Circuit. Meggs served as a police officer for the Tallahassee Police Department for 18 years and was a Leon County Deputy for three years. He received his bachelor’s degree and his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University. Meggs is reappointed for a two-year term.
John Grant
Grant, of Tampa, has been an Attorney with Tampa Estate Planners Law Firm for over 41 years and specializes in estate planning, trust and probate administration, mediation and elder law. Additionally, he is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Court Mediator and Arbitrator. He served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1980-1986 and the Florida Senate from 1986-2000. Grant earned his bachelors in political science from the University of South Florida and his Juris Doctorate from Stetson College of Law. Grant is appointed for a two-year term.
The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Two to the Governor’s Mansion Commission
Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointments of Linda Stoch and Danielle Payne to the Governor’s Mansion Commission.
Linda Stoch
Stoch, of Palm Beach Gardens, is a retired business owner of Innovative Interiors by Linda. She worked in the interior design field for over 20 years, creating aesthetically pleasing homes for her clients. Stoch received her bachelor’s degree in technical education from Witwatersrand Technical College and her certificate in Interior Decorating from CID International. Stoch is appointed for the remaining four years of a term.
Danielle Payne
Payne, of Winter Park, is an executive board member of Metro Corral Partners. She served as a member of the Salvation Army board from 2005 to 2018. She is also the founding board member of Helpings from the Heart, an event put on by the Salvation Army that serves more than 20,000 free meals to residents in need in the Central Florida area on Thanksgiving Day. Payne received her bachelor’s degree in art history and psychology from Oglethorpe University. Payne is appointed for the remaining four years of a term.

Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Two to the Enterprise Florida Board of Directors
Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointment of Katherine San Pedro and the reappointment of Jesse Biter to the Enterprise Florida Board of Directors.
Katherine San Pedro
San Pedro, of Miami, is a partner at Ballard Partners, Inc. San Pedro has extensive public relations and legislative experience. She is the former Regional Director of External Affairs for AT&T Florida. San Pedro was also a campaign manager for two successful campaigns for the Florida House of Representatives and served as a legislative assistant for two Florida House members. She received her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Miami. San Pedro is appointed to a four-year term.
Jesse Biter
Biter, of Sarasota, is the President and CEO of Biter Enterprises, a real estate development company. Biter is an entrepreneur and founded his first company, HomeNet Automotive in 1996. Biter sold HomeNet Automotive to AutoTrader in 2010. Biter currently serves as the Chairman for the Florida Sports Foundation. He has been a member of Enterprise Florida Board of Directors since 2014. Biter is reappointed to a four-year term.
