The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is beginning a project on State Road (S.R.) 414 between Sandspur Road and the US 17/92 bridge on Sunday, July 14.
Phase one of the project consists of milling and resurfacing the roadway. Motorists can expect single lane closures during overnight hours from 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., typically from Sunday night(s) through early Friday morning(s).
The second phase of the project, which begins later, widens S.R. 414 (Maitland Boulevard) from a four-lane road to six-lane road. The project limits extend from east of Interstate 4 (I-4) to east of County Road (C.R.) 427. The widening is occurring to the inside, in the median.
Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Electronic message boards will be used to alert drivers.
Media inquiries should be directed to the FDOT Communications Office at [email protected] or by phone at 386-943-5479. Project information is also available online at CFLRoads.com.
FDOT urges all drivers to stay alert and use caution while driving through or near construction zones. When driving, walking, or bicycling, remember to pay attention and follow the rules. Safety doesn’t happen by accident.
