Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Two to the Florida Barbers’ Board

Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointments of Russell Mayer and Edwin Stewart to the Florida Barbers’ Board.

Russell Mayer
Mayer, of Casselberry, is a retired barber. He was a manager and barber at Kennedy’s All-American Barber Club in Lake Mary for over 10 years. He completed his master barber certification in 1975. He is appointed to a four-year term.

Edwin Stewart
Stewart, of Pensacola, is a barber at the Navy Exchange at Sherman Field. Stewart has been a barber for over 50 years, during which time he has been the director of a state barber school. He is appointed to a four-year term.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
