Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis released the following statement on Congress passing legislation extending the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund through 2092.
“I applaud the Senate, with a special thank you to Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Rick Scott and the entire Florida delegation for passing vital legislation today to protect our brave first responders and those impacted by 9/11. When terrorists attacked our homeland, heroes ran towards unbelievable danger without hesitation to save lives. We will never forget that tragic day, and we must ensure those impacted have our nation’s support.”
