More changes are coming to Interstate 4 (I-4) that drivers need to pay attention to during the weekend and commuters need to know for the Monday morning drive. The westbound I-4 entrance ramp from Par Street and westbound exit ramp to Princeton Street (exit 85) are shifting to new, temporary configurations this weekend.
The westbound I-4 exit ramp to Princeton Street will shift to a new location as soon as Saturday morning, July 27. This new alignment requires motorists to exit I-4 nearly half a mile sooner. The ramp will close at 10 p.m. Friday/tonight to facilitate the shift.
The westbound I-4 on ramp from Par Street is scheduled to close all weekend beginning at 10 p.m. Friday/tonight. View a map of the weekend long detour at: fdot.tips/2SI9qkD. The entrance ramp will reopen Monday morning July 29th in a new temporary configuration.
The two ramp shifts create additional space in the work zone that’s needed for continued construction of the westbound I-4 bridges over Princeton Street.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
