Governor Ron DeSantis today addressed the Space Coast Consortium Apprenticeship Program’s inaugural student class hosted by OneWeb. The Governor was joined by Frank DiBello, CEO and President of Space Florida to highlight the accomplishments of students in the program.
“I’m proud to be here to celebrate with the first graduating class of the Space Coast Consortium Apprenticeship Program,” said Governor DeSantis. “My administration is dedicated to expanding valuable workforce education programs and hands-on learning opportunities across our state. These students have a tremendous opportunity to develop new skills and compete for high paying jobs in today’s modern industries.”

The Space Coast Consortium Apprenticeship Program (SCCAP) offers apprenticeship opportunities in occupations such as mechatronics technician, advanced CNC machinist and fiber composite technician. SCCAP believes that it is critical to utilize apprenticeships and other work-based learning programs to adequately develop and prepare the local workforce talent pipeline in order to maintain global competitiveness.
