Following mass shootings this weekend in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio that left 30 dead, Commissioner Nicole “Nikki” Fried issued the following statement:
“We are the only nation where murderers and the mentally ill can access weapons of war capable of causing mass deaths in seconds. These tragedies don’t happen anywhere else. We must take action to stop the cycle of hate-fueled violence. Otherwise, our country is in denial, and our citizens are paying the price in blood.”
