Early Morning Traffic Pacing Operation on Westbound I-4 Scheduled August 9

Posted on August 8, 2019

Slow Roll Will Allow for Overhead Sign Installation

Overnight/tonight, between midnight and 5 a.m. Friday, August 9, a traffic pacing operation is scheduled to occur on westbound Interstate 4 (I-4). The westbound I-4 work will begin at the Par Street entrance ramp and conclude at Conroy Road.

In total, 10 westbound I-4 entrance ramps will be temporarily closed during this process. As the traffic pacing operation passes each interchange, law enforcement officers will reopen the entrance ramp to allow motorists to enter I-4 and join the slow roll. Each traffic pacing procedure on westbound I-4 will create a 30-minute window for crews to move equipment and install overhead signs.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. More information at this link: fdot.tips/wbi4tpo.

Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
