The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold an open house for the U.S. 1 Corridor Planning Study. The limits of this study are from Pineda Causeway (State Road (S.R.) 404) to Park Avenue, a distance of about 9 miles.
The open house will be 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at the City of Rockledge Council Chambers located at 1600 Huntington Lane in Rockledge. It is being held to introduce the study and to obtain stakeholder input. Attendees will have an opportunity to view project information. Members of the project team will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
The corridor planning study process is evaluating both the short- and long-term transportation needs of the U.S. 1 corridor including intersection improvements, roadway widening, safety, and the addition of bicyclist and pedestrian features.
