In case you missed it, Speaker Jose Oliva appointed Representative Bob Rommel to the Florida Government Efficiency Task Force last week. In his appointment letter to Rommel, Oliva specifically asked the District 106 State Representative to focus on technology and cybersecurity in order for the task force to make actionable recommendations to the Legislature. Rommel is serving his second term in the Florida House of Representatives.
“I’m passionate about streamlining government and making it more effective for the residents of Florida,” said Rommel. “Cybersecurity threats pose a particular concern, and it’s vital that we be proactive in addressing them. I’m honored to serve in this capacity, and I look forward to working hard with my colleagues on the Task Force to find ways of improving government operations and reducing costs for Florida’s hardworking taxpayers.”
In addition to serving on the Task Force, Rommel chairs the House Civil Justice Subcommittee and is Vice Chair of the House Judiciary Committee. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Local, Federal, and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee.
