Motorists traveling in the Daytona Beach area should anticipate various closures within the Interstate 95 (I-95) Widening and Systems Interchange project limits. Beginning at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, a continuous closure is planned for the on ramp from eastbound U.S. 92 (International Speedway Boulevard/ISB) to northbound I-95. The ramp is scheduled to open by 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, weather permitting.
The scheduled closures and posted detours are detailed as follows:
When: Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 10 p.m. through 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27
What: Closure of the eastbound U.S. 92 (ISB) on ramp to northbound I-95
How it will work: Traffic from eastbound U.S. 92 (ISB) headed to northbound I-95 will be directed to take northbound Williamson Boulevard to LPGA Boulevard where northbound I-95 will be accessible.
Motorists are advised to slow down and follow posted detour signs. Motorists may also want to plan ahead and add some extra time to their drive.
