Florida A&M University (FAMU) School of Journalism & Graphic Communication (SJGC) will be hosting its annual Homecoming event, “Grads Are Back” featuring alumni in the media and entertainment industries.
Thursday’s proceedings include a full day of panels, workshops and meetings with the SJGC Board of Visitors, which includes Kimberly Godwin, executive vice president of news at CBS News; and Yvette Miley, senior vice president and executive editor at MSNBC.

“Grads Are Back gives ambitious students the opportunity to connect with seasoned media professionals. Alumni also have the opportunity to pass on their knowledge of the industry to students and help prepare them for the work force,” said Professor Francine Huff, SJGC’s Knight Chair for Student Achievement.
