What: On Monday, October 28 beginning at approximately 10 a.m., construction crews will perform mechanical and electrical operational testing on the Longboat Key Pass Bridge. These tests will require the bridge to be opened multiple times throughout the day. In an effort to minimize impacts to motorists, the contractor will treat the operational testing much like a normal bridge opening, clearing traffic once the bridge closes prior to another opening. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes, when possible, as delays are to be expected.
