The Coalition for Silver Solutions – bringing together four of the state’s leading organizations focused on the long-term care of Florida’s large and growing elderly population – will announce its 2020 legislative priorities for our state’s elders during the Silver Summit, which will be held on Thursday, October 31, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Center for Health & Wellbeing in Winter Park, FL.
At the Silver Summit, leaders from AARP, the Florida Health Care Association, LeadingAge Florida, and 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, will be joined by Florida Agency for Health Care Administration Secretary Mary Mayhew and Department of Elder Affairs Secretary Richard Prudom to gather public input and discuss the challenges family and professional caregivers are experiencing, the health care workforce shortage and the coalition’s short- and long-term strategies to meet the quality health care needs of Florida’s large aging population.
