Equality Florida, Sen. Jose Javier Rodriguez (D-Miami), and Rep. Michael Grieco (D-North Bay Village) will host a press conference on Tuesday, November 5, at 12:00 p.m. at Florida Capitol Building, Fourth Floor Rotunda, Senate side, to discuss legislation to enact statewide protections against so-called “conversion therapy” on minors (SB 180/HB 41).
The legislation would prohibit licensed practitioners from practicing conversion therapy on minors. The practice has been debunked by every mainstream medical and mental health association and has already been prohibited in 18 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
