Operations Include Traffic Pacing Operation on WB I-4 and Nightly Ramp Closures
Several construction activities related to I-4 Beyond the Ultimate interim Interstate 4 (I-4) projects in Seminole County will necessitate lane and ramp closures over the next week.
A traffic pacing operation is scheduled to occur on westbound I-4 between midnight and 5 a.m. Monday, November 11. The operation will begin at the U.S. 17-92 entrance ramp and conclude at the E.E. Williamson Road overpass.
During the activity, affected westbound I-4 entrance ramps will be temporarily blocked. As the traffic pacing operation passes each interchange, law enforcement officers will reopen the entrance ramp to allow motorists to enter I-4 and join the slow roll. In total, five westbound I-4 entrance ramps will be temporarily closed during this process. View or download a handout of the temporary ramp closures.
The traffic pacing operation on westbound I-4 will create a 30-minute window for crews to relocate and reposition a crane at the E.E. Williamson Road overpass. The crane is being repositioned for crews to continue pile driving operations.
Additionally, multiple nightly ramp closures are scheduled between November 10-13 for milling and resurfacing work on the eastbound I-4 travel lanes in Seminole County.
