Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointment of Dan Traver to the Fifth District Court of Appeal. The Fifth District Court covers portions of East and Central Florida.

Traver, of Orlando, is currently serving as a Circuit Court Judge for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. He previously served as a lawyer for GrayRobinson, P.A. and clerked for United States District Court Judge Kendall Sharp. He received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his law degree from Loyola University, Chicago School of Law. Traver fills the vacancy created by the confirmation of Judge Wendy Berger to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
