Detour Scheduled on Ronald Reagan Boulevard Starting Friday

Posted on November 14, 2019

From 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 to 6:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, motorists traveling eastbound on Ronald Reagan Boulevard (County Road (C.R.) 427) should expect a traffic pattern change that includes a detour. The lane closures will allow crews to place concrete pavement on the roadway.

Construction crews will close the eastbound lanes on Ronald Reagan Boulevard from Silkwood Court to U.S. 17-92. During the work, drivers on eastbound Ronald Reagan Boulevard heading to U.S. 17-92 will be directed to turn right on Silkwood Court and then turn left on U.S. 17-92 (see attached map).

Access for businesses will be maintained throughout the closures.

Electronic message boards and other signage will be used to direct motorists safely around the traffic changes.

The work is part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to widen U.S. 17-92 from four to six lanes from Shepard Road to Lake Mary Boulevard. Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Media inquiries should be directed to the FDOT Communications Office at [email protected] or by phone at 386-943-5593. Project information is also available online at CFLRoads.com.

FDOT urges all drivers to stay alert and use caution while driving through or near construction zones. When driving, walking, or bicycling, remember to pay attention and follow the rules. Safety doesn’t happen by accident.
