UNF’s MHA Program Named to CAHME Mentorship Circle

Posted on November 21, 2019

Nationally Recognized as a Top Performance Program

The University of North Florida Brooks College of Health’s Master of Health Administration (MHA) program was recently inducted into the elite Mentorship Circle of the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME).

The Mentorship Circle designation is an exclusive group of only 23 higher education programs recognized for engaging in mentorship, disseminating best practices and demonstrating a commitment to excellence not only in their own programs, but across the broader field of graduate healthcare management education.

“This membership recognizes that we provide the highest quality of education to ensure our students as well as the greater health administration field are prepared to solve complex global healthcare problems using the best practices and innovative solutions,” said Dr. Rob Haley, UNF’s MHA program director and professor.

UNF’s MHA graduate program has been CAHME accredited since 1998. The program prepares students to serve as effective administrators, managers and leaders in the wide variety of organizations and agencies that make up the health services field. It’s specifically designed to promote student engagement in Jacksonville’s ever-expanding healthcare industry.

“Our MHA program is uniquely embedded in a medical hub community; our students are engaged in frontline exposure and spearheading innovative designs to improve the trajectory of patient care,” said Haley.

CAHME is an interdisciplinary group of educational, professional, clinical and other health sector organizations devoted to quality improvement of education for healthcare management and administration professionals. CAHME accreditation is the established standard of measurement for graduate healthcare management education.

The Brooks College of Health’s mission is to develop competent and caring health professionals for the 21st century who are diligent in the pursuit of knowledge, make significant contributions to the communities/individuals that they serve and become leaders of their chosen professions. UNF is a nationally ranked university in Jacksonville, Florida, that is nestled on a beautiful 1,300-acre nature preserve, featuring six colleges of distinction as well as nationally recognized flagship programs, with 56 bachelor degree programs and over 75 areas of concentration.
