Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Steve Berlin to the Pinellas County Court
Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointment of Steve Berlin to the Pinellas County Court. Pinellas County is located within the Sixth Judicial Circuit.

Berlin, of St. Petersburg, has been a litigator for Rumberger, Kirk and Caldwell since 2017. Previously, he was an Army Judge Advocate while he served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army. He received his bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy and his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Berlin fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Donald Horrox.

to the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority
Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointment of Cedric Alexander to the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority.
Cedric L. Alexander
Alexander, of Pensacola, is a retired law enforcement executive. He began his career as a deputy with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office in 1977. He served as a police officer and detective in Orlando and Miami, as deputy chief and chief of police of the Rochester Police Department in New York and as federal security director with the United States Department of Homeland Security overseeing the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. In 2013, he was appointed chief of police for DeKalb County, Georgia and later transitioned to deputy chief operating officer/public safety director for the department. He served as deputy mayor for the City of Rochester. He earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology and his master’s degree in family therapy from St. Thomas University and his doctorate in clinical psychology from Wright State University.
Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Three to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation
Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointments of Sandra Einhorn, Ryan Benson and Bill Gulliford to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation. The Florida Housing Finance Corporation was created 35 years ago to assist in providing a range of affordable housing opportunities for Florida residents.
Sandra Einhorn
Einhorn, of Hollywood, is the executive director for the Coordinating Council of Broward, a non-profit organization responsible for implementing health, public safety, education, economic and human services in Broward County. She holds a certificate in fundraising management from the University of Indiana School of Philanthropy and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida. Einhorn is appointed to a four-year term.
Ryan Benson
Benson, of Fort Myers, is the vice president and principal of A Vernon Allen Builder, Inc. Currently, he is a board member for the Florida Home Builders Association and the National Home Builders Association. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stetson University and his master’s degree in business administration from Florida International University. Benson is appointed to a four-year term.
Bill Gulliford
Gulliford, of Atlantic Beach, is the president of Major Machinery and Equipment LLC. He is a retired City of Jacksonville Council Member and City of Atlantic Beach Mayor and Commissioner. He served in the US Coast Guard Reserves from 1996-1972. He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida. Gulliford is appointed to a four-year term.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
