Former Congresswoman Gwen Graham today has endorsed Patricia Sigman for Senate District 9.
“It is vital that our elected officials have a history of upholding the highest ethical standards and of fighting on behalf of those they are trusted to serve,” stated former Congresswoman Gwen Graham. “I am proud to endorse Patricia Sigman because she has consistently stood on the side of the people against the most powerful interests in Florida and I know she will always put her constituents first in the Senate!”
The endorsement of former Congresswoman Gwen Graham continues the momentum that Patricia Sigman has generated since launching her campaign in January, including raising over $115,000 in her first month as a candidate and receiving the endorsement of Ruth’s List Florida and former CFO Alex Sink as she works to flip Senate District 9 blue.
“Congresswoman Gwen Graham has been a steadfast advocate for protecting our environment, improving our public schools, and keeping our communities safe from gun violence,” declared Patricia Sigman. “It is an honor to have Gwen’s endorsement of our campaign to bring those same values to the state Senate on behalf of the people of District 9!”
An open seat due to term limits, State Senate District 9 encompasses all of Seminole County and a portion of western Volusia County. As the fastest changing red-to-blue State Senate district in Florida, Democratic performance increased at the top of the ticket by five points from the 2016 to 2018 election. Senate Victory sees this district as poised to flip and is committed to Patricia’s election in 2020.
