Regarding Abuse Victims and the COVID-19 Outbreak
“While social distancing is incredibly important as a means to help limit the spread of COVID-19, unfortunately, this period of isolation is often used by abusers to further exert control and power over their victims. Stressful times such as these may lead to an increase in instances of abuse and further compromise the safety of victims.
Marsy’s Law for Florida encourages news outlets to share the following resources and alert victims that help is still available even in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak.”
