This week, Jay Trumbull’s campaign turned in a final wave of petitions, and the Bay County Supervisor of Elections has now verified 1,147 of the petitions collected. At least 1,146 petitions are required for a candidate to qualify by this method.
“I’m proud of my team and our effort to qualify by petition, especially given the Covid-19 crisis that has affected us all,” said State Representative Jay Trumbull. “Over the last few years, our community has faced extraordinary challenges like Hurricane Michael and now Covid-19. But because of our values and strong leadership, I trust that God will give us the grace to continue to turn these crises into opportunities for new success. I am honored by the outpouring of support and look forward to working harder than ever for the people of Bay County.”

Born and raised in Panama City, Florida, Jay Trumbull Jr. graduated from Bay High School and then from Auburn University with a degree in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. The Trumbull family has been in the bottled water and water conditioning business for over 4 generations and owns Bay County’s Culligan dealership and now Bush Air Conditioning. Jay is active in local business community organizations, including the Bay County Chamber of Commerce and the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce. Jay married his high school sweetheart, Brittany Fishel. They are members of the First United Methodist Church of Panama City and have two children.
