In response to the United States surpassing 100,000 deaths from COVID-19, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried today offered the following statement:
“Today, we mourn the loss of 100,000 mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, wives, husbands, sisters, brothers, grandparents, friends, and fellow Americans. We mourn the 2,319 of those lost who were Floridians, beloved by those who call the Sunshine State home. As we continue to battle the most significant pandemic in a century, may the actions of our leaders and the governance of our state and country reflect the memory of those lost to COVID-19.”
