Bob Cortes today announced his candidacy for State Representative has been endorsed by the Florida Police Benevolent Association, the largest and most effective professional association of law enforcement officers in Florida.
“We are proud to endorse Bob Cortes for Florida House District 30,” said Matt Puckett, Executive Director of the Florida PBA. “He has demonstrated a strong commitment to the men and women of law enforcement and corrections. We know he has our back.”
“I’m deeply honored by the support of the Florida Police Benevolent Association,” said candidate and former State Representative Bob Cortes. “We’re living through a time when our law enforcement is under attack, and common sense tells us we can’t function as a society without a well funded police force. I look forward to working with the Florida PBA and all law enforcement to establish peace and harmony in our communities once again.”
Established in 1972, the Florida Police Benevolent Association is a politically proactive labor organization that represents law enforcement officers in negotiations for wages, benefits, and terms of their employment. The Florida PBA gives law enforcement officers a voice in the day-to-day affairs of their agencies, which leads to better pay, benefits, and working conditions.
