Citing her career fighting to improve the lives of Central Floridians, Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy has endorsed Patricia Sigman for State Senate District 9.

I’m excited to endorse Patricia for District 9 and to have a true partner in the Florida Senate once she is elected.”
Since announcing her campaign for Senate District 9, Patricia Sigman has generated incredible momentum for her campaign with strong and steady fundraising, the endorsement of Senate Democratic Leader Designate Gary Farmer and the support of Senate Victory, as well as Senator Oscar Braynon, Senator Linda Stewart, Senator Perry Thurston, and Senator Victor Torres, and the endorsements of former Education Commissioner Betty Castor, former Democratic Lieutenant Governor nominee Chris King, former Congresswoman Gwen Graham, former Democratic Attorney General nominee Sean Shaw, former Florida CFO Alex Sink, former Orlando Magic Head Coach Stan Van Gundy and his wife Kim, Equality Florida Action PAC, EMILY’s List, Ruth’s List Florida, SEIU Florida, and Sierra Club Florida. “There are few people who inspire me more than Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy,” declared Patricia Sigman. “Not only is Congresswoman Murphy a steadfast fighter for equal rights for all Floridians, she has courageously stood up to the gun lobby for common sense reforms to make our communities safer and for increased protections for our state’s environment. I am proud to have Congresswoman Murphy’s endorsement and cannot wait to work with her on behalf of Central Floridians in the Florida Senate.”
An open seat due to term limits, State Senate District 9 encompasses all of Seminole County and a portion of western Volusia County.
