In recognition of his career spent standing up for the rights of workers, Senator Jose Javier Rodriguez (D-Miami) has been endorsed by the SEIU Florida.
“Each and every day, the members of the SEIU Florida are on the frontlines of making our state run,” stated Senator Jose Javier Rodriguez. “As our state navigates this pandemic, it is even more vital these essential workers make a living wage, have strong workplace safety protections, and are treated with the dignity that they deserve. It is an honor to have the endorsement of the SEIU Florida and their members as we fight together for a better economic future for all workers in our state.”
Representing over 55,000 members statewide, SEIU Florida serves as a powerful voice for working Floridians fighting for fair wages, equality, and justice on behalf of the people who power our state.
“In the middle of a public health and economic crisis, it’s more urgent now than ever that Florida elects leaders who put working people first,” said Martha Baker, SEIU Florida State Council President. “We need our elected leaders to fight for worker protections, for increased access to health care, and for policies like fair wages and paid sick leave that recognize the dignity of working families.
“Senator Jose Javier Rodriguez has been a champion for these issues and for Florida’s working people throughout his time in office. We are proud to support his re-election to the Florida Senate this fall and will fight for him so he can keep fighting for us.”
