Florida Chamber of Commerce, Associated Industries and
Associated Builders and Contractors Support Rep. LaMarca

Rep. Chip LaMarca (R-Lighthouse Point) received the backing of key business community groups. The Florida Chamber of Commerce and the Associated Builders and Contractors have thrown their support behind Rep. LaMarca. These two organizations represent hundreds of thousands of jobs in Florida.

Rep. LaMarca said, “As we continue to weather the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important that we work together to ensure that businesses can operate safely and bring their employees back to work. These two organizations represent so many jobs in our state and I am committed to doing everything possible to help businesses and their employees get back up and running like they were just a few months ago. Together, we will work to rebuild our economy, get families back to work safely, and keep Florida moving in the right direction.”

Mark Wilson, president and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce said in an earlier press release, “The Florida Chamber has a long-standing reputation of endorsing incumbent candidates who continue to drive sound policy for Florida business that make Florida more competitive. We trust these incumbent legislators to make Florida’s future a priority, focusing on job creation and further economic opportunity for everyone.”

Peter Dyga, President and CEO of Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter said, “Rep. LaMarca has been a steadfast advocate for builders and contractors in our state. He understands that reducing bureaucracy while ensuring employees and business owners operate safely is key to a solid economic foundation for our state. When builders are building, the state will do well. Rep. LaMarca knows the value of hard work and we are proud to support our friend in his reelection.”

Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) President and CEO Tom Feeney said, “While the pandemic may have changed many things about campaigns this election cycle, it has not diminished the need for Floridians to understand candidates’ priorities and stances on important issues. For this reason, AIF felt it was important to continue our long-held tradition of reviewing and speaking at length with candidates so that we can help better inform the business community about who will fight for their interests… As Election Day approaches, we encourage our fellow Floridians to support these AIF-endorsed Florida Senate and House candidates knowing they are committed to helping create an environment where Florida’s businesses can thrive and come back stronger than before.”
